beauty// updated skin care routine

Saturday, 6 December 2014

Hello lovelies,
It has been  a while since my last skin care routine blog post. So I thought I'd post an updated one.

  1. I start by taking off my make-up by using the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. Just to remove stubborn  eye make-up, before cleansing my face. I just dab two cotton pads in the solution and gently wipe off my eye makeup. Depending on how much make-up I'm wearing I may repeat this process.
  2. I lather the Simple Facial Gel between my fingers and apply it to my face with a little water. I remove it with a muslin face cloth. Again I repeat this process. Once, to remove the dirt, grime and make-up from my face. And secondly, to cleanse my skin itself. I've moved away from using a lotion based cleanser as I've heard it can be too moisturising on greasy skin (which I have)
  3. Next, about twice a week I ex-foliate my skin using Vichy Normaderm Ex-foliating gel to help with any spots I may have.
  4. I use Simple Kind to Skin Light Moisturiser after this. I find its great, as it doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy. I also apply a little before I apply my make-up as a primer!
  5. New to my routine is the Effaclar Duo by La Roche Posey. This is a miracle cream! Seriously. I used to have tiny under the skin slight imperfections and this has removed them all. I still get the odd spot but for over all appearance this product has done wonders. If you were to only buy one item, I'd have to recommend this, above all others.

And thats it! Thats basically my daily routine. I'm looking to include a deeper moisturiser though, as the winter months are approaching. Some part of my skin are looking dry, which has never happened to me before. Usually my skin is overall greasy. But if I find something, I will let you know! All products will be listed below.

Batiste Dry Shampoo - Medium & Brunette

Tangle Teezer Aqua Splash*

Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Re-constructor Deep Conditioner

Just decided to do a hair care routine blog post andbove, are the products I use regularly.
I am in love with my new tangle teezer that I was kindly gifted from HairTrade.com  It takes my tangles out like a breeze.
Also new to my routine is this magically hair-dryer. It was an early Christmas present but I couldnt wait to open it. It has made a huge difference to my hair. Its extra soft and way more manageable than usual.
Of course dry shampoo is necessary to someone who's hair gets as greasy as mine.
To keep my hair in good condition, I swear by Aussie.
I also try not to over wash my hair as I've heard it leads to it gets greasier. I try to aim for three times a week. But sometimes I just need to wash it more frequently!

Hope you enjoyed this post.

beauty// august haul

Thursday, 4 September 2014

Since summer is nearly over (tears) I've been doing a lot of shopping to cheer myself up. Also I lot of my makeup ran out at the same time, why does that always happen? Never just one product every week or so. But any excuse to shop! I thought I'd just share what I've bought.

This Lady Million Fragrance was a bargain at only €30 reduced from €50. Once I smelled this in the shop, I couldn't leave without it! Perfect for a transition to autumn.

I wrote about this scrub in a previous post but my original had ran out so had to repurchase

Chocolate Shimmer Rimmer Lipstick €6.99

Nyx Powder:
This feels gorgeous and soft to touch and a bargain at €3.50

Essential eyebrow pencil - Rimmel

A great dupe for the Naked palette and only €7!

Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot:
I got a sample of this a few months ago and was amazed by how fast this gets rid of spots. Its a little more epensive as a spot treatment at €10 but you only need a tiny drop and last ages!

E45 Intense Moisture Lotion:
If you've read preious post you may know I have eczema. This works wonders and is part of my daily routine.

Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner:
Dying to try this an i'll let you know how I get on!

Easy Leopard Print Nails

Thursday, 24 April 2014

I started by painting all my nails white using "703 White Hot Love" by Rimmel 60 Seconds from the Rita Ora Collection. I love this colour as it has a slight sheen to the white. Sometimes I find with white nail polishes that it looks too much like you've painted your nails with Tipp-Ex.

After completely this step I find a brown or caramel like shade and just tap the nail polish into little blobs. This doesn't have to be neat or in any specific order. This nail look really is easy and achievable! I used " "1081 Kalahari Kiss 80528" by "China Glaze"

Next step is a little trickier. I used a lip brush to paint a leopard print design around the caramel colour. Again this doesn't have to follow an pattern. I used a black colour called "544 Liquid Leather 70576" by "China Glaze". You could use any combination of colours with this as well.

Finish off with a clear top coat and Tahh-Dahh you're done! Finito!
